Job Description

The Senior Director – Co-Brand Partnership Solutions will be responsible for developing and executing strategies and initiatives that deepen client engagement with select Everyday Spend merchant partners and support their co-brand card business.


This role will focus on driving co-brand portfolio growth by understanding client objectives and developing plans that address client needs and simultaneously support Visa’s priority products and solutions. Specific responsibilities include optimizing co-brand program effectiveness, developing and executing market insights, analytics and marketing strategy, and deepening partner engagement. This client-facing position will work closely with various internal departments, external merchants, and financial institution partners to optimize portfolio performance in all stages of the product lifecycle, including co-brand product development, cardholder usage, acquisition, and retention.

  • Lead development/execution of holistic, strategic engagements with assigned Everyday Spend clients that support client’s goals and drive Visa’s scorecard achievement by providing consultative approach to client needs, leveraging deep knowledge of Visa’s products and services to surface applicable solutions to address client needs

  • Collaborate with Account Executives/others to deepen client engagement by positioning Visa as a trusted advisor providing insights, bringing forward Visa’s products/solutions and tools

  • Partner with Account Executives to lead, develop and execute co-brand account plans that include scorecard goals, and where applicable, deliver on revenue plans, play an active role in client incentive fund utilization

  • Represent client's portfolio, market insight and analytic needs internally within Visa which requires a thorough understanding of the client's business and program objectives, business and marketing strategies/key initiatives, underlying business philosophy, financial model, and key players, as well as Visa's interaction model and approach

  • Provide consultative approach to client needs by leveraging deep knowledge of Visa’s products to surface applicable solutions to address client needs

  • Support business development opportunities for new/renewal co-brand deals, support and seamlessly integrate new/renewal co-brand accounts

  • Be accountable for reporting, budget/contractual commitment tracking, and program performance metric reporting as required

  • Collaborate with key internal Visa partners - Legal, Product, Visa Consulting and Analytics, Marketing, Financial Institution Sales and Merchant Sales on applicable initiatives


This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • Relationship management, consulting experience, portfolio management, and/or consumer loyalty management experience desired.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful portfolio plans (co-brand preferred).
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization, demonstrated experience to interact with 'C' level executives within client organizations.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow internal and external resources and cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders and serving as project manager on key engagements.
  • Proven ability to develop effective strategies and manage through execution, aptitude to develop new business partnerships.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success/achievement.
  • Strong strategic thinker with a results orientation who approaches any challenge with thoughtfulness, drive, and appropriate urgency
  • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint. Experience with CRM platforms, Dynamics is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
