Job summary
The Red Hat Global Partner Success team within the broader Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is looking for a Partner Success Manager to join us in the United States. In this role, you will focus on ensuring that Red Hat's global system integrator (GSI) partners are fully engaged, that they recognize Red Hat as a preferred technology partner, and that together, we deliver an outstanding customer experience. You'll serve as a point of contact between the Red Hat technical support and engineering teams and our strategic partners. As a Partner Success Manager, you will build relationships with a list of named partner accounts and promote aligned success for Red Hat, the partners, and our mutual customers. Your secondary focus will be around tactically engaging other strategic partners as needed like cloud service providers and software vendors. Red Hat has offices across the U.S. and well-qualified, home-based applicants will also be considered to work remotely within states where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Establish a trusted adviser relationship with partner stakeholders so that all of Red Hat's activities are closely aligned with the partner business strategies
  • Develop success plans for partners that will include relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), potential issues, and recommendations
  • Educate partners on the Red Hat product life cycle, certification, and support best practices
  • Understand our partner's solutions and technologies as they relate to Red Hat's offerings
  • Coordinate with support, sales, product management, and engineering teams to advocate for partner needs
  • Onboard strategic partners to ensure that their transition from sales, consulting, and engineering to technical support and production is seamless
  • Manage critical partner support escalations
  • Conduct service reviews that highlight partner and program successes, milestones, opportunities, and gaps
  • Manage corrective actions and closed-loop efforts


Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience working as a support or partner project, program, or account manager or in other customer or partner (B2B only)-facing roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Well-organized and able to work well with shifting priorities
  • Motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for events and partner visits, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines
  • High degree of technical insight with the ability to understand and articulate how Red Hat's offerings are used in partner solutions
  • Familiarity with open source software and open source as a business model
  • Technical support background is a big plus


The following are considered a plus:

  • Knowledge of Red Hat's portfolio of offerings and subscription business model
  • Technical understanding of foundational cloud technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field
