Overview
The Business Analytics Manager will lead a technology and analytics team that will focus on innovation and process improvement within Consumer Direct Lending. The manager is responsible for overall team productivity and contribution to strategic initiatives, daily operations and communication with management. The manager is also expected to serve as a mentor to team members from a technical and analytical skill perspective. Primary team responsibilities include utilizing business analysis and data science techniques to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, drive strategy and to implement solutions through process engineering, automation and alternative technologies. The team also helps drive strategic technology initiatives and acts as a liaison between core IT functions and business leadership along with providing general analytics support
Job Description

• Lead a team providing business process and analytics support/insight.
• Assess business processes and identify areas of improve through process change or technology solutions
• Manage relationships between the team and business owners/stakeholders

• Perform analysis and produce reporting on regular and ad-hoc basis
• Understand, interpret, and present recommendations for action based on a data-driven analytics
• Identify and develop automation processes to improve efficiency
• Build and deploy statistical or machine learning models
• Assist in the development and testing of proof of concept technology projects
• Provide technology recommendations to management
• Provide general reporting and analytics support to business leaders

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

• 5 years' experience in an Analytics or equivalent role
• Experience in Mortgage Originations
• Technology, Mathematics, Finance or Economics background preferred

• Proficiency in SQL
• Advanced understanding of data creation, extraction, manipulation, analysis and storage
• Familiarity with basic statistical and machine learning modeling concepts
• Experience with statistical or data science software (R, Python, SAS, etc.)
• Programming or Application Development experience a plus
• Experience in using or developing on cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services (AWS) a plus)
• Demonstrate ability to provide and implement a solution to a problem articulated by management
• Ability to communicate key concepts in analytics and technology effectively
