As a critical member of the marketing operations team, the Data Operations Manager is primarily responsible for the operational management and maintenance for the global Sales and Marketing database. This role will serve as a key leader in defining the end-to-end process that maintains the accuracy and builds the efficacy of Anaplan’s go-to-market data.

The person in this role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with rules, regulations and internal policies, manages email deliverability, escalates issues, and works to resolve any issues.


Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Proactively build and maintain processes, controls, and procedures to ensure database health
  • Data accuracy and consistency of database information and formatting
  • Provide hands‐on technical support and guidance for implementing best practices and standards that enable steps toward the envisioned future state
  • Perform regular audits to ensure data integrity and quality
  • Design database structures processing for normalized and de-normalized data
  • Identify and develop tools to manipulate data where current system tools are insufficient with a focus on streamlining team processes
  • Collaborate with marketing organization to ensure lists are not only timely and accurate but meet the business needs of the campaigns
  • Develop standards and ongoing processes to clean, merge, de-dupe database records
  • Develop, document and maintain efficient system processes and workflows
  • Learn business rules and underlying data to support the delivery of quick, reliable solutions with the highest level of precision and data quality
  • Prepare campaign program-level reports and evaluate performance metrics outcomes

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Work c laboratively to understand business needs and turn those into marketing technology solutions andrepeatable, scalable processes
  • Knowledge of how to identify, evaluate, recommend, and implement technology, ideally of a marketing or database/analytical nature (social monitoring, web site analytics/data analytics, CRM systems)
  • Problem solver with the ability to make recommendations in a structured, professional manner to business stakeholders from varied functions and at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to recognize a need for or gap in a process and propose and implement an appropriate resolution
  • Project management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
  • Experience SQL and DB performance tuning skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • General working knowledge Cloudingo and Marketo
  • Working knowledge of Ringlead and Zoominfo
