Position Summary:

This position serves to lead events and engagement activities for the Mobile Experience (MX) Team at Samsung Electronics America, with a focus on, strategy, execution and program management.

They will be an experienced, strategic and highly creative individual who will orchestrate MX internal and external events, employee engagement activities and social engagement activities. This person must be technologically adept, have exceptional project management and communication skills, comfort with logistics, and is highly collaborative. Critical that they have a proven track record for managing successful large scale events and employee engagement programs.
Role and Responsibilities

  • Design and orchestrate overall MX Event and Engagement program.
  • Provide oversight of event management and logistics for National Business Meeting, Town Halls, Employee Engagement Activities, Leadership Team Meetings, etc.
  • Manage Reporting Dashboards in support of marketing team members' projects to measure and report on the success of their programs.
  • Manage MX Executive Operation social budget for employee engagement activities.
  • Coordinate with Retail, B2B, Marketing, Corporate and Suwon teams on events and engagement activities.
  • Manage centralized events and engagement calendar.
  • Create processes and procedures, then documenting them for activities related to supporting activities.
  • Host meetings as needed, including managing the virtual meetings features such as screen sharing, recording, polling, breakout rooms, muting, etc.
  • Manage teams for specific events and projects.
  • Providing post-event support including, attendance reports, edit recordings, etc.
  • Build strong working relationship with other divisions (Consumer, Networks, Display, etc.) to identify areas of cooperation.
  • Work with internal creative teams, agencies, and platforms to deliver content.
  • Plan and manage programs, on time, on budget, to scope.


Qualifications/Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience leading events and engagement programs
  • Experience working on projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating schedules
  • Track record of driving and piloting new ideas, measuring the impact and iterating
  • Strong executive presence
  • Data driven with focus on metrics
  • Ability to manage and influence across highly cross-functional teams including sales, customer support, PR, social and marketing
  • Experience managing projects of varying complexity; time management and project management are critical skills
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Works well independently and as part of team
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Adapts well to a fast-paced environment


Necessary Skills & Attributes:

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
  • Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.
  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
  • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
  • The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.


Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:

  • The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
  • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
  • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
  • Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company's competitive position.
