IT Business Partner
Summary
The IT Business Partner (ITBP) serves as the liaison between IT and Motional business units. This position is based in Vegas and supports our Western US region.
ITBPs will manage the priorities of IT and the needs of the business; ensure IT demand is captured from business units; direct the provisioning of new and enhanced services as per requirements; provide key input for the creation and maintenance of overall IT Strategy; and provide program management oversight for business facing IT initiatives. The ITBP will work with all IT functional groups and provide matrix management over IT and external project delivery resources
The Motional Las Vegas office is located less than 10 miles from the Las Vegas strip at 730 E Pilot Road, the Las Vegas office is home to one of the largest fleets of self-driving vehicles. The city’s grid system of roads and being one of America’s “smart cities” allows for extensive research and development testing.
Reports to: IT PMO Lead
Responsibilities and Duties
- Own the relationship between IT and Motional business units within our US Western region
- Serve as the liaison between IT service teams and Motional business units to ensure collaboration and coordination between stakeholders
- Serve as an escalation point for any major IT issues for the region
- Capture and prioritize business demand while helping stakeholders articulate high level technology requirements in collaboration with service teams
- Manage communication channel between Motional business units and the respective service teams
- Support Motional business units in negotiating service level agreements with service teams
- Work with our Procurement team to escalate service delivery with third party partners
- Collaborate with on-site, remote, and production support teams to conduct root-cause analysis
- Identify and address areas for improvement for business units and IT
- Provide program management and project coordination for initiatives impacting Motional business units
- Manage interdependencies and interfaces as needed with all stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Relevant experience in a service oriented organization
- Experience in managing relationships with internal and external business customers
- Experience working with the business to clarify and refine functional requirements into functional designs
- Experience with requirement gathering and leading functions to a viable solution design
- Experience with software development life-cycle/tools/ecosystem and infrastructure services
- Experience with program and project management
- Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Demonstrated facilitation skills
- Highly self-motivated and directed with attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and find balance between competing business needs
