The Director of Commercial Operations oversees fleet performance and operational efficiency, leading multi-market operations, incident management, and innovative technology implementation, while ensuring compliance and stakeholder engagement.

Lead and build an ML Acceleration team to define strategy and implement scalable solutions to speed ML training. Lead end-to-end design release and configuration for developmental vehicle platforms and HIL benches. Define hardware architecture and requirements, manage BOMs, procurement, ECNs, documentation, validation, and cross-functional integration. Drive build-readiness, risk mitigation, and handoff to test operations while providing program status to technical leadership.

Lead development of rigorous evaluation frameworks and metrics for autonomous systems, analyze large on-road and simulation datasets, detect metric drift, prototype statistical and ML methods, correlate simulation and real-world results, and drive actionable improvements to testing, sampling, and launch-readiness decisions while mentoring teammates and advising stakeholders.

Provide hands-on fleet operations support for an autonomous vehicle fleet: pre/post-trip inspections, AV startup/shutdown, safety and platform checks, vehicle recovery and charging, shuttle and repositioning, basic in-vehicle debugging, incident reporting, and coordination with engineering and fleet teams. Must follow SOPs, traffic laws, and work flexible schedules.

Lead vehicle-level integration, validation, and root cause analysis across electrical, network, software, and hardware domains. Configure and validate ECUs, sensors, actuators, and vehicle networks (CAN, CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet). Develop and execute integration and validation test plans, analyze logs and network traces, support vehicle bring-up and production phases, and mentor junior engineers to improve product quality and development efficiency.

Operate and test autonomous vehicles safely on closed courses and public roads; run in-vehicle data recording, document and report test results, troubleshoot issues, and support mapping and data-collection efforts. Train and coach new operators, maintain SOPs and testing documentation, use JIRA/Confluence for tracking, and communicate findings to engineering teams while upholding safety and operational procedures.

The candidate will define and execute motion planning projects, develop behavior models using ML techniques, and collaborate with teams to enhance autonomous vehicle performance.

Lead end-to-end hardware integration between Motional's autonomous driving system and OEM base vehicles. Own ICDs, manage mechanical/electrical/network compatibility, coordinate cross-functional OEM/internal teams, track master integration schedule, oversee engineering documentation and change management, drive platform testing/certification, run technical program reviews, and report integration maturity, risks, and milestones to leadership.

Lead and coordinate high-priority cross-functional strategic projects for engineering leadership. Serve as CoS liaison, manage meetings and communications, synthesize technical and financial information, prepare executive briefings, prioritize the CoS calendar, improve processes, and perform ad-hoc analysis to inform strategy and shareholder communications.

The Senior Software Engineer will enhance developer productivity by building and refining internal services, improve system performance and reliability, and manage complex infrastructure platforms.

Lead design and implementation of motion control and trajectory optimization algorithms for production autonomous vehicles. Build robust C++ software, evaluate control techniques, integrate with prediction and behavior teams, use simulation and CI, mentor junior engineers, and apply numerical optimization and solvers to ensure safe, comfortable vehicle motion.

Develop and maintain long-range financial models, support strategic decision-making and scenario planning, partner with operations and cross-functional teams to forecast revenue and expenses, perform unit economic and competitive analysis, and prepare presentations for leadership.

Lead technical strategy and architecture for an AI Data Engine to accelerate ML dataset generation and data warehouse operations. Hands-on staff engineer mentoring engineers, designing scalable storage, vector retrieval, LLM/agentic workflows, and collaborating with ML research and platform teams to deliver petabyte-scale data solutions.
