Global Mobility Business Advisor, Manager

The US Global (USG) Global Mobility organization (Deloitte LLP) is responsible for the global mobility strategic and operational support to the US Firms' leaders and businesses, including end-to-end advisory support for all US and US India deployment types (US / US India inbound and outbound assignments and cross-border engagement deployments).

US Global Mobility leadership is seeking a Business Advisor Support role to provide advisory services for all US deployment types (outbound and inbound assignments and cross-border engagements) for a specific business.

Reports to: Lead Global Mobility (GM) Business Advisor, Senior Manager

Description of Responsibilities

Supports the Lead GM Business Advisor with aligning and executing on the Business-specific Global Deployment strategy and supports the facilitation of associated Global Mobility advisory needs for outbound and inbound global assignments and cross-border engagements.

Examples of specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborates and works closely with the GM Business Advisor Lead and the GM Employee Experience Support teams, to deliver on specific global mobility goals. Executes consistent process hand-offs between GM team members and meets associated expectations and compliance requirements
  • Discusses policy and processes with potential candidates to ensure complete understanding and guidance on next steps in the program
  • Coordinates with Talent Business Advisors and Business Leaders to help identify and move candidates throughout the process, and stays connected on business-specific talent related programs and processes that intersect with global mobility.
  • Leads business-specific global mobility programs or special projects as needed
  • Coordinates meetings with multiple stakeholders to discuss the risks and implications of cross-border engagements, with the ability to understand and navigate complex tax, legal and immigration situations
  • Negotiates assignment packages and funding sources with member firm Global Mobility contacts and other business leaders, in line with global policies
  • Initiates assignments in global mobility tools and reviews assignment budgets and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Escalates complex issues to Business Advisor Lead, as required
  • Facilitates training efforts within the Global Mobility team and with Deloitte stakeholders regarding the execution of Global Mobility elements, as required
  • Adopts available tools to advise the Business consistently to drive informed decision making

Desired Skill Set:

  • Global Mobility technical understanding (e.g., deployment structures, deployment lifecycle, processes, tax concepts, global immigration and policies)
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven, proactive communication style, with strong stakeholder management and relationship building abilities
  • Financial management, project management and analytical skills
  • Consultative approach toward clients
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Critical understanding of when to escalate matters for necessary leadership input/involvement
  • Familiarity of Deloitte's Businesses
  • Experience working in a virtual and multi-national/global team environment
  • Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of directly related experience including subject matter expertise in human resources or mobility (preferred)
  • Travel up to 20% (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now, or at any time in the near future

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $115,030 to $211,850.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
