Overview
Responsible for oversight and direction of all departmental activities related to counterparty management, contract administration, compliance, and client level agreement remedies.
Job Description

  • Establish strategic direction and objectives pertaining to Client Administration and Post Purchase Loan Defects
  • Oversee the evaluation and approval process for prospective clients and review and monitor clients to determine alignment with established policy and procedures
  • Determine options and desired outcomes for client status, confer with executive leadership, and direct the appropriate course of action for ongoing business activities with clients
  • Oversee the determination of options and desired outcomes for repurchased loans, ensure implementation of the best course of action and manage the documentation of applicable decisions
  • Oversee the development of procedures to ensure current processes are correctly documented to ensure compliance with internal standards as well as federal and state regulations
  • Negotiate loan purchase agreements
  • Interface with various groups, including internal teams, external clients, and vendors to ensure departmental activities are appropriately coordinated across the division and enterprise
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred
  • Recent experience in managing correspondent counterparty approvals for a nationally recognized company
  • Functional understanding of correspondent acquisition process
  • Functional understanding of applicable federal, state and local lending regulations
  • Functional understanding of mortgage investor guidelines
  • Managerial experience required
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, financial analysis and mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, preferred, not required
