About the job

This position is needed to be a key contributor in the growth of the Internal Events Department as we work to define the future of IRL and Virtual touchpoints for Twilions.

Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking an Event Manager, Internal Events to be a key contributor in driving large scale and important internal events for Twilio. We are looking for a creative and hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment. The person will support all WW Internal events such as Company Kickoff, VOX Summit, R&D Summit, and will set the bar for how we lead 100+ person internal events for Twilions.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Develop and manage project plans, including documentation of strategy, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Keep larger workstreams organized and assist with unblocking roadblocks that arise.
  • Lead the day-to-day management of event operations and partnerships that support employee touchpoint goals and event initiatives. Step in to fill holes where needed in a constantly evolving event landscape.
  • Streamline our planning, so we can focus on delivering innovative and engaging event experiences to Twilions. Recommend areas we can automate or improve processes and work cross functionally to ensure program priorities are being met.
  • Spend the time to deeply understand our employees and solve problems from their perspective. Treat internal supporting organizations and workstreams as internal customers to ensure their needs are met and that the Internal Events Team maintains a strong internal reputation as being an outstanding event team to support and partner with.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to future junior team members and greater worldwide field marketing organization to foster team growth and success. Identify areas of opportunity for future team members to own and delegate projects as needed to maintain program progression through the planning process.
  • Think creatively and push team members to bring innovative ideas and solutions to the greater team to keep our events dynamic and engaging.
  • Conceptualize new ways of engaging teams in our remote environment and bring innovative solutions to complex problems.

Required:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in event management or field marketing
  • Excellent influencing, problem-solving, consensus-building, organizational, project management, and communication skills
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a proven track record to lead multiple competing priorities simultaneously. Create a sense of urgency where needed to stay on track with important milestones and results in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with managing multi-million-dollar budgets and multiple vendor contracts and relationships
  • Ability to build positive relationships and interface effectively with all levels of management and teams across multiple departments

Desired:

  • Experienced in delighting attendees during virtual, hybrid, and in-person events
  • Strong in developing processes and automating where possible; thinking at scale
  • Experience using Google Suite, Slack, and Airtable.

Location

This role will be remote, and based in the West Coast, USA.

Approximately 15% travel is anticipated.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $82,080 - $102,600
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
