Role Summary
We are in the process of scaling our OpenRAN solutions towards more customers and use cases. Our portfolio is evolving. Fully dedicated to OpenRAN principles and business models, we are aligning the solutions towards various customers' needs for Radio Access including Macro and Small Cells, Enterprise LTE/5G, Industrial IoT and MEC.
As Director PLM, you will join our RAN PLM team and will be responsible for driving the product solution roadmap for 4G & 5G OpenRAN. This position will be based in Richardson, Texas. However, additional consideration regarding actual work location can be given to outstanding candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own product roadmap for 4G & 5G RAN
- Engage with customers and local sales organizations at the technical level to drive sales and win new business
- Managing internal and external stakeholders
- Drive day-to-day technical discussions and prepare responses for queries
- Define project plan to deliver products and solutions
- Establish CxO level thought leadership with customers
- Gather competitive information & drive standards engagement with O-RAN focus
- Execute trial and PoC activities
- Identify and drive cooperation with O-RAN partners to build solution ecosystem
- Handle RFx response preparation and RFx defense
- Organize technical workshops for customers and partners
- Represent the company at trade shows and participate in marketing events; help drive marketing
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the wireless telecommunications industry
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required. MBA is a plus
- Excellent relationship with tier-1 operator's technical staff is a great advantage
- Innovative "out-of-box" thinker with "can-do" attitude
- Work experience at a startup is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of as many as possible products/solutions: e2e RAN, Radios, X86 Servers, Virtualization Platforms, RAN SW, Network Design
- Solid knowledge 3GPP EPC and 5G core
- Superb ability to gather customer requirements and translate them into product specifications
- Ability to orchestrate and manoeuvre critical customer engagements
- Team leader and a team player
- Great ability to influence engineering team to deliver products as needed by the customer
- A great communicator and an extraordinary presenter
- Solid track record with references showing traits in-line with the above requirements
