Job Description

Procore is looking for a Director, Industry Advancement, to expand the reach of our social impact team, Procore.org. This team aims to advance the construction industry through technology, education and advocacy programs. They work closely with industry associations, non-profit builders, university professors and union training centers providing in-kind donations of Procore’s technology, implementation and training services.

In this role you will oversee a team of Social Impact Specialists, while being responsible for strategic planning and scaling business operations. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, building alignment and getting buy-in on initiatives designed to advance the construction industry. You’ll influence and inspire everyone from executive leadership to cross-departmental teams and partners, evangelizing the value of Procore’s social impact programs both internally and externally, in industry.

To be successful in this position, you should have a blend of strong execution and operation skills. A demonstrated ability to build business processes, lead a team, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required. Construction industry experience is required as you’ll be responsible for supporting the Sr. Director in developing strategic plans in addition to focusing on scaling internal operations.

This role will report to the Sr Director, Industry Advancement and can be located anywhere in the U.S. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee a cross-functional team while streamlining operations and working with various stakeholders to grow the business

  • Collaborate with the Sr Director to build new and creative business strategies to drive Procore’s growth and increase tech adoption, through programs designed to give back to construction

  • Establish a deep understanding of the industry challenges as well as Procore’s products and services in order to best align programs to meet Procore’s business objectives, while creating lasting, positive change

  • Assist the team in creating and building trusted relationships with industry specific organizations (associations, trades, etc) 

  • Provide guidance on program plan development, negotiating and executing partnership contracts ensuring they maintain contract life-cycles 

  • Set and track critical team and company KPIs to measure success 

  • Develop and execute a long-term strategy for the Procore.org Team that champions workforce development and positions Procore as the construction technology vendor of choice

  • Support the Sr Director in evangelizing the vision and strategy internally and externally to drive awareness and adoption

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years experience leading results-driven cross-disciplinary teams with a focus on strategic planning and project management

  • 5+ years experience successfully building, scaling, and leading successful teams

  • An influential strategist and construction thought leader who gains acceptance of others in sensitive situations across all channels, mediums, and cultures

  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills, equally comfortable speaking in front of intimate groups of executives or thousands of people

  • Ambitious, resilient, persistent, competitive; goal and results-oriented, optimistic, smart, value-added mindset, proactive and curious.

  • Ability to train and mentor others to build out a high performing cross-disciplinary team

  • Experience managing fast-moving teams and the ability to take projects from inception to delivery

  • Highly operationally focused; knows how to build out an operational process, from systems and team processes to reporting and analytics

  • Comfortable leading co-located and remote teams

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of Construction industry, including workforce development, advocacy and minority contractor engagement

  • 35%+ travel required
