Come join our Community Operations team

Our Community Operations team is committed to delivering predictive, fair and enjoyable interviews. We do this by building a strong Interview Engineer community and ensuring efficient, scalable operations for our interview production.

What you will do

As Director of Community Operations at Karat, you will create scalable marketplace operations that enable us to deliver high-quality interviews across a global, 24/7 Interview Engineer network, creating great community and candidate experiences in the process. You’ll work closely with your team, and cross-functionally with other teams, to establish the infrastructure and best practices we’ll need to meet our expansion goals, while also bringing creative approaches to new challenges.

Karat’s HQ is based in Seattle, Washington, but we are open to remote candidates for this role (within the U.S.). Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Lead and further build out the teams responsible for end-to-end operations within the Interview Engineering community (i.e. analytics, engagement, iteration, and operations).
  • Own a multifaceted set of performance metrics for a marketplace that runs 24/7.
  • Build scalable operational systems and processes.
  • Guide your team in creative, iterative approaches to solve ambiguous problems through experimentation (such as identifying ways to improve community retention or reduce the speed to onboard).
  • Work with your team and cross-functional partners to find improvement opportunities to the experiences of both the community and candidates, and lead thee charge in driving investment and measurement.
  • Mentor and cultivate a dedicated team of operators and strategists.

The experience you will bring

  • 8+ years of experience in marketplace operations or business operations at high-growth, high-tech companies
  • Previous management experience, preferably of cross-functional operations teams
  • Successful track record of driving strategy, cross-functional projects, and operational programs
  • Resourceful, change-oriented leader with a history of working in ambiguous environments
  • Data-driven in your decision-making, creative, hungry and lead with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
