The Director, Business Services will be in charge of overseeing the Service Team's daily operations and growth and development. Primary responsibilities will include: strategizing to improve efficiency and productivity, creating new processes, monitoring existing processes, analyzing process effectiveness, overseeing existing programs for quality assurance. This role is responsible for the successful implementation and execution of key performance indicators to maintain a productive and cost-effective team and an environment that meets all regulatory rules and guidelines. The position and the Service Team department may reside in home office or remotely and is responsible for supporting initiatives and medical centers for all of the ChenMed family of companies.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the Service Team's day-to-day activities including but not limited to: hiring, scheduling, allocating work, evaluating performance, setting expectations and achievable targets and goals, identifying professional development programs, and staff coaching.
  • Strategizes the planning, development and directing of the Service Team operations and customer service programs.
  • Leads people, coordinates, and inspires the team and achieves results under challenging circumstances.
  • Implements, manages and evaluates operation processes and procedures, in accordance with the standards and procedures set out by the organization.
  • Provides training and assistance to employees to ensure efficient and effective delivery of member services.
  • Oversees the creation and maintenance of internal policies and procedures such as Standard Operating Procedures, relative to the day-to-day technology operations.
  • Manages operational metrics and reports. Develops processes and procedures relevant to the collection of data and report generation.
  • Develops strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of Service Team operations.
  • Ensures that operational processes stay within agreed budget and timelines.
  • Applies a bias towards frugality and creativity when it comes to problem solving for operational challenges, seeking to improve people, process and systems resolutions before increasing costs and complexity.
  • Structures and manages integrated projects to achieve expected business results.
  • Develops, the Service Team's budget; oversees and monitors the budget planning and preparation process.
  • Works comfortably with financial statements, and financial concepts, in a service organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong business acumen and acuity
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of business and customer service functions, practices, processes, procedures, techniques and methods
  • Advanced-level skills in Microsoft Office products, specifically, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Versatile team player with effective interpersonal skills including: exceptional organizational skills, strong written and oral communication, proven management and training and public relations skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to help develop and grow the team from its formation to maturity
  • Ability to oversee multiple tasks with attention to detail; a motivated/enthusiastic work style and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a broad range of internal and external constituents
  • Spoken and written fluency in English
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally or nationally up to 10% of the time
  • This position requires use and exercise of independent judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required; additional experience above the minimum may be considered in lieu of the required education on a year-for-year basis
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Ten (10) years of related work experience in healthcare, customer service or business administration of a progressively responsible nature, with at least three (3) years at a supervisory level required
  • Project Management experience is required
