About the Position

Oxford Analytica is seeking to appoint an Associate to its Advisory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the firm’s global client base with rigorous, insightful, evidence-based market and policy-oriented research on political, economic, business and geo-strategic trends.

About You 

The successful applicant will have an excellent grasp of international politics, global trends, business and regulation, and a solid understanding of implications for private and public sector decision making. Research skills, creative thinking, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to work on a wide range of projects are essential. Excellent command of written and spoken English is required. Additional languages will also be valued.

What To Expect In This Position:

• Work on client-facing projects from day one and play a vital role in project development and delivery, and will be expected to work to deadlines on several engagements simultaneously
• Contributing to proposal writing and related business development activities
• Will be a team player, meaning pitching in and supporting colleagues with ad-hoc work as required

What Sets You Apart:

• Graduate qualifications in political science, economics, international relations, public policy or a related field
• Exceptional writing skills, including 2 to 4 years’ experience contributing to external facing research reports, white papers and/or thought leadership content
• Strong research and analysis skills, including in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
• An academic or professional background in international affairs, international economics or business studies
• Relevant knowledge of project management and business development, including preparing proposals
• Analytical creativity and an ability to ‘prove out’ robust, evidence-based big ideas
