 About the Role: 

We are seeking an Operations Support Representative to join our team. This position supports our healthcare partners by helping the Client Services team process time-sensitive documents, maintain accurate account information, and meet important deadlines.

The Operations Support Representative assists collectors and department leaders by reviewing correspondence, processing account updates, validating consumer requests, posting payments and adjustments, and resolving account discrepancies. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong data-entry skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and efficiently.

Reports To: EBO Support Supervisor
Location: Onsite, 734 West Main Street, Greensburg, IN 47240
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Compensation: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the Client Services team in meeting deadlines and completing required deliverables.
  • Coordinate, validate, and fulfill consumer-specific requests, including reviewing consumer correspondence and itemized bills for accuracy and required action.
  • Process internal correspondence, account updates, and placement files accurately and within established timelines.
  • Review incoming mail and correspondence and route or process documents appropriately.
  • Analyze account information to identify and resolve balance discrepancies.
  • Post payments and adjustments accurately.
  • Process and review itemized bills and statements received from clients.
  • Verify insurance eligibility using available information and systems.
  • Review bankruptcy notifications and ensure account information is handled appropriately.
  • Review settlement offers for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the resolution of consumer disputes.
  • Maintain office inventory and help ensure necessary supplies are available.
  • Assist with developing tools and processes that improve the efficiency and productivity of the Support Services team.
  • Prepare clear summary communications for Client Services leadership.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Apply strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Manage multiple assignments, changing priorities, and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member while working independently when needed.

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience performing data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive consumer and account information.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing, collections, customer service, or a related healthcare support environment.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Insurance.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and FDCPA requirements.
  • Experience with Epic or other EMR.
