The Operations Support Intern provides administrative and operational support to the operations team while gaining hands-on experience in healthcare operations, recruiting, and business development. This role is designed for students or recent graduates interested in developing a career in healthcare operations, management, or business administration. The intern will assist with staffing coordination, recruiting support, and operational projects while shadowing leadership roles to gain a comprehensive understanding of day-to-day business operations within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the operations team with administrative and operational tasks that support daily office functions

  • Support staffing coordination efforts by assisting with filling open shifts and communicating with field staff and families

  • Support recruiting by assisting with candidate sourcing, outreach, and scheduling interviews

  • Shadow operations, clinical, and corporate leadership to gain exposure to various operational functions 

  • Participate in business development activities and community outreach as directed

  • Complete a special project that utilizes analytical, research, or operational skills (Depending on University requirements)

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervision & Support

  • The intern will report directly to our Director of Operations and will also receive mentorship and strategic guidance from the Area Director of Operations

  • Ongoing mentorship and guidance will be provided to support professional development

  • The intern will receive a mid-term and final performance evaluation, which will be shared with the faculty supervisor

  • The organization will participate in a scheduled video or on-site visitation with the faculty supervisor, if required

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing Associates or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Health, or a related field

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office

  • Interest in healthcare operations, business development, or business administration preferred
