The Operations Supervisor II at National Oilwell Varco, L.P. is accountable for the overall performance of the assigned inspection facility. Reporting to the Area Operations Manager, the supervisor directs production, quality, safety, budget, and personnel activities, serves as acting Operations Manager when needed, and drives continuous improvement while maintaining strong communication with customers and stakeholders. Responsibilities
  • Direct all aspects of facility operations to meet production, quality, safety, and cost targets.
  • Lead, train, motivate, and evaluate personnel; manage hiring, onboarding, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews.
  • Maintain open communication with customers regarding delivery status and resolve complaints promptly.
  • Approve and monitor expenses, invoices, and timesheets to ensure budget adherence and labor cost control.
  • Responsible for weekly activity reporting.
  • Assist in budget development, conduct cost analyses, and forecast monthly revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company regulations; promote a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, generate operational reports, and identify process improvements.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, equipment maintenance schedules, and spare‑parts availability.
  • Resolve operational issues and escalate unresolved matters to the Division Operations Manager as required.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Area Operations Manager.
Qualifications

     Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in oilfield services or comparable industrial operations.

  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and industry safety standards.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and perform financial analysis.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous‑improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, KPI tracking, and reporting tools.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/CMMS systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel between sites as required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
