Expo Centric is expanding nationally, and we're looking for a dynamic General Manager – Perth to establish, grow, and lead our Western Australia operation. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong commercial acumen, relationship-building expertise, and hands-on project leadership.

🔍 What You'll Do

  • Business Development & Revenue Growth
  • Develop and execute a growth strategy for the WA market
  • Identify, target, and secure new clients across exhibitions, conferences, and brand activations
  • Build relationships with event organisers, venues, agencies, and corporate brands
  • Drive a strong revenue pipeline and meet agreed targets
  • Represent Expo Centric at industry events and networking opportunities

Client Relationship Management

  • Build long-term partnerships with key WA clients
  • Lead client pitches, meetings, and presentations
  • Translate client objectives into creative and effective exhibition solutions
  • Ensure high satisfaction, strong retention, and repeat business

Project Oversight

  • Oversee projects from brief to delivery
  • Work closely with designers, project managers, and production teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality
  • Manage risks, logistics, and client expectations

Operations & Team Leadership

  • Establish and manage Perth office operations
  • Build, grow, and lead a local team over time
  • Coordinate closely with the Sydney head office for production, design, and logistics
  • Maintain operational excellence and quality control

Financial Management

  • Manage the P&L of the WA business unit
  • Monitor project margins and financial performance
  • Ensure profitability and adherence to business targets

Brand Representation

  • Act as the face of Expo Centric in Western Australia
  • Maintain strong relationships with local venues, suppliers, and industry partners
  • Promote Expo Centric's reputation for creativity, reliability, and service excellence

✅ What You Bring

Essential

  • 7+ years of experience in events, exhibitions, experiential marketing, or related industries
  • Strong business development and sales experience
  • Experience managing large-scale projects and client relationships
  • Strong commercial understanding of budgets, margins, and profitability
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proven leadership experience and the ability to build high-performing team.

Highly Desirable

  • Background in exhibition stand design/build or event production
  • Existing WA industry relationships
  • Experience managing P&L or business units
  • Experience working with corporate brands, agencies, or event organisers
