The Account Manager Charter Operations position offers the opportunity to play a visible and valued role within Qantas’ Fly‑In/Fly‑Out (FIFO) charter operations in Western Australia, working closely with resource sector customers to deliver dependable, high‑quality outcomes. Managing a portfolio of charter accounts, you will build strong, long‑term relationships while guiding contract arrangements and proposals within established frameworks. Acting as a trusted link between customers and internal operational teams, you will help ensure services run smoothly and expectations are consistently met in a fast‑moving environment. 

With a strong focus on reliability, compliance and customer experience, you will contribute to performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives that support safe and efficient charter operations. This role suits someone who thrives on responsibility, values attention to detail and remains composed under pressure, particularly during peak demand periods. By balancing customer needs with operational and regulatory requirements, you will help strengthen partnerships and support the ongoing success of Qantas’ FIFO charter business. 

You’ll have – 

  • 6–8 years’ experience in Sales or Operational roles within aviation or charter environments. 
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or Commerce, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of airline and/or charter operations, including scheduling, compliance and service standards. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across operational, commercial and compliance teams. 
  • Demonstrated decision making ability to evaluate impact of change at a detailed level. 
  • Highly organised with strong time‑management skills, able to prioritise and meet deadlines in fast‑paced environments. 
  • Strong data capability, with experience interpreting information to support operational efficiency and compliance. 
  • Highly motivated with proven initiative. 
  • Clear and effective communicator, confident engaging with internal teams and external clients. 
  • Sound judgement and decision‑making ability, balancing operational requirements, regulatory obligations and customer needs.
