Job Summary:


The manager is responsible for providing effective leadership for manufacturing operations in all plants which includes responsibilities in EHS, employee engagement, achieving goals in production, machine and material efficiency, cost out, and quality in conjunction with the business goals and objectives. Monitors the volume and quality of output and makes necessary adjustment so that production specifications are met and resources are used efficiently. Implement and lead the Lean Culture, Operational Excellence, best practices, and continuous improvement within the screw chiller plant to maximize employee contributions and drive improvements in product quality and process efficiency with continuous yield improvements to ensure that products conform to established customer and quality standards.



Key Competencies:

 

•          Leadership skills – demonstrate passion for leading change to challenge what is possible, possess good learning agility to ensure work objectives are in light of clear goals, strategy, and vision.

•          Coordinates the day-to-day activities of production workers to ensure that manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and standards.

•          Prepare production reports so that performance problems can be identified and resolved.

•          Reviews and compiles operations records, such as yield, scrap, and maintenance costs.

•          Prepare capex, expense and headcount budgets and monitor the cost and effectiveness of daily production activities.

•          Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.

•          Set up KPI operation align with Business grown and Monitoring throw to close gap cover plan.

•          Coordinate program requirements and manage interface with functional organizations specially PSS co-ordinate sale to drive business grown.

•          Lead and/or support tech transfer team and key screw all products transferring / COD projects through effective project management and leadership.

•          The role plays a vital role in ensuring department is run effectively with priority on safety and quality by supervising the daily activities of production staff.

•          Impacts the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team and its contribution to the department.

•          Supervise staff to ensure that all production tasks are performed, and all machines and equipment operate safely.

•          Primarily impacts own work area with no budget or P&L accountability.

      

Qualifications

•            Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or a related field or equivalent.

•            At least 10 years of managerial experience in manufacturing or production operation.

•            Knowledge of VSA, Lean basic.

•            Knowledge of and experience with LEAN or other manufacturing efficiency concepts.

•            Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.


•            A thorough understanding of the latest process enhancement strategies.

•            Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

•            Leadership and mentoring skills.

•            Confidence in your abilities to lead organizational change.

•            Fluency in English is required. Chinese communicate is an advantage.
