Role Overview: KBR is seeking an Operations Coordinator professional responsible for providing high-level technical guidance, problem-solving, and research project support within their area of expertise - altitude and acceleration training. This role may involve daily operations of research altitude chambers, centrifuge, and other related equipment, advanced and unique configurations and integration of said equipment, supporting human subject research, training research panel members, fitting Air Force Equipment and physiology sensors, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions for government or commercial clients. Candidates are expected to have strong technical knowledge, experience in their field, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced altitude and centrifuge research to support projects.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions aligned with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and project managers to integrate operational insights into broader programs.
  • Assist in preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and client use.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards in all technical work.
  • Provide collaborative assistance to scientists as required, especially regarding application of human physiology and operational procedures content of protocols.
  • May require working evenings and weekends; may involve working with biohazardous materials.
  • Participate as trained Inside Observer duties for altitude chamber studies.
  • For all projects ensure compliance with applicable Federal, DoD, military services and organizations, and civilian institutions directives regarding human subject research and commensurate subjects protections.
  • Ensure compliance for all activities regarding safeguarding of personally identifiable information and protected health information.
  • Assist with introductory and orientation physiology training for individuals interested in joining the human subject research panels.
  • Coordinate with other technical and professional staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

  • 10 years of relevant professional experience in operations of altitude chambers and human centrifuge.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Must be a US citizen able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Experience in supporting military research and development.
  • Microsoft Office Products.
