Kismet is building Australia’s first intelligent care platform - making it radically easier to access, manage and fund support across disability, aged and private care. The Australian care economy is $380B and still runs on fragmentation, paperwork and waitlists. We’re replacing it with a streamlined, AI-powered experience that connects participants and providers in real time.

Kismet is growing exponentially. This role is a new build inside that growth - a two-sided allied health marketplace. The market is large, fragmented, and underserved - with a significant population that has been left behind by existing solutions. We are not a typical startup. We are obsessively analytical about unit economics, acquisition costs, and marketplace P&L. Every assumption gets stress-tested. If you want to build something from zero with rigour and velocity, this is the place.

THE ROLE

You will operate across both sides of the marketplace. Supply: identify, recruit, onboard, and manage providers. Demand: acquire, engage, and retain users. There is no playbook - you will help write it. One morning you are building a provider outreach sequence; by the afternoon you are knee-deep in a spreadsheet modelling acquisition funnels. You will report directly to the SVP, Marketplace and work in a small, fast team where ownership is high and bureaucracy is zero.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Supply

  • Own end-to-end provider recruitment: identify targets, build outreach, close sign-ups, and onboard onto the platform.

  • Develop and optimise the provider value proposition - understand their economics, speak their language, solve their problems.

  • Build provider-side analytics: track activation rates, churn signals, and lifetime value by cohort.

Demand

  • Design and execute user acquisition strategies across channels - measure everything, kill what doesn’t work, double down on what does.

  • Map the user journey end-to-end, identify drop-off points, and drive conversion and retention improvements.

  • Engage directly with users, coordinators, and community organisations as the face of the company on the ground.

Marketplace Operations

  • Build and maintain analytical models to track unit economics, cost-per-acquisition, and marketplace P&L drivers.

  • Run structured experiments across supply and demand - formulate hypotheses, design tests, analyse results, iterate.

  • Manage multiple concurrent workstreams with minimal oversight. Keep things moving.

  • Synthesise insights from data and stakeholder conversations into clear, actionable recommendations.

EXPERIENCE

High performers with experience working at a management consulting firm, private equity, investment bank, leading technology company, or other fast-paced environments - who thrive in the fluidity, autonomy, and energy of a start-up setting.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • First-principles problem solving. You decompose complex, ambiguous problems to their fundamentals and build up from there.

  • Data-driven decision making. You default to evidence over intuition. You know your way around a spreadsheet, a dataset, and a SQL query.

  • Attention to detail that borders on obsessive. Nothing ships from you that hasn’t been checked, cross-referenced, and pressure-tested.

  • Program and project management expertise. You run multiple workstreams without dropping balls or missing deadlines.

  • Natural relationship-builder. You build trust fast, communicate clearly, and influence without authority across diverse audiences.

You are an operator. You roll up your sleeves. No task is beneath you - if it needs doing, you do it. You bias toward action, move fast, and don’t wait for permission to solve problems. You are a direct and crisp communicator: you say what you mean, write tight emails, and don’t hide behind jargon. You thrive when you’re juggling five things at once.

WHY JOIN US

  • Real impact. A $380B care economy that’s broken for users and providers alike. We’re fixing it

  • Dream team. Founded in 2022, ground floor of one of Australia’s fastest-growing tech startups. Flat structure, small team, backed by local and international VCs.

  • Speed and autonomy. No layers, no committees. You will have direct access to leadership and the latitude to move fast.

  • Personal growth. We back our people to thrive in work and life. Your career and your personal dreams both matter here.

If you are passionate about making a difference in healthcare and meet the qualifications for this role, we would love to hear from you. Please email your CV and covering note/letter to [email protected]. We look forward to reviewing your application!
