ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The main role and responsibilities of the Operational Risk Analyst will be to assist the Head of Operational Risk and the Operational Risk Function to implement and embed CMC Markets’ Operational Risk Management policy, framework, systems and processes across the organisation.  

The Operational Risk Analyst will play a pivotal role within the function by providing support to the operational risk processes, including analysing key risk data, managing key operational risk processes, maintaining the system/databases relevant to these procedures so that high quality management information is prepared for all Risk Stakeholders, including Risk Committees.  

The Operational Risk Analyst will assist the Head of Operational Risk to create a strong operational risk management culture and awareness across the organisation.  

The Operational Risk Analyst will take on responsibility for:-

  • Delivering on a range of risk data analytics to support the provision of high quality insightful risk management information.
  • Support the design of enhanced Risk MI, including development of more automated processes, including data collection.
  • Provide support and advice to the business on the appropriate use of all Risk systems. Manage business user access requests.
  • Work on ERM projects or initiatives, as required.
  • Support the oversight and challenge of Incidents, working with the business to ensure that incidents are fully analysed and clearly documented; including all mandatory information.
  • Support the Operational Risk Team in the facilitation and challenge of Risk & Control Assessments (RACAs) completed by the business; documented in the risk management system;
  • Assist with the development, roll out and tracking of appropriate Operational Risk training materials across the Group;

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • This is a role suitable for a graduate; therefore no direct previous experience in operational risk is required.  The candidate will receive training to deliver on the role and progress in a Risk type role
  • Strong MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Analytical thinker;

  • Able to ask questions and to challenge status quo in an appropriate way
