Role Description
What you'll do:
As a Solution Architect within ZS's Engineering Labs team in Poland, you will be the technical design authority who works horizontally across our life sciences engagements - spanning R&D, business technology and commercial - rather than being locked into a single domain. You will translate complex client problems into robust, scalable architectures and stay hands-on enough to prove them. Partnering with principals, engineering leads and client stakeholders, you will design end-to-end solutions and cloud data platforms that power analytics, AI and digital products for the world's leading pharmaceutical and biotech organisations . You will define target-state architecture, produce clear solution and integration designs, and set the technical standards that engineering teams build to. Working across commercial, clinical and supply-chain data, you will architect data-management solutions on modern cloud platforms and remain close to the code - prototyping in Python and guiding delivery through to production. As a Level 4, team-lead- calibre architect, you will mentor engineers, drive quality across multi-project work, and be a trusted technical partner to senior stakeholders.
What you'll bring:
- 8+ years of relevant technology experience as a solution, enterprise or data architect, with a proven track record of designing and delivering end-to-end solutions across multiple domains (or related experience).
- Life sciences experience is essential - hands-on delivery within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare or a comparable life sciences environment.
- Hands-on cloud architecture expertise across one or more of AWS, Microsoft Azure or Databricks, including designing and provisioning cloud-native solutions.
- Strong software-engineering foundation with hands-on Python coding - you architect solutions but remain close enough to the code to build and prove them.
- Deep data-management architecture skills - designing and building data platforms across commercial, clinical or supply-chain data.
- Demonstrable solution-design ability - producing architecture diagrams, solution blueprints and integration designs that engineering teams can build to .
- Familiarity with enterprise-architecture frameworks such as TOGAF (certification is a plus).
- Ability to work horizontally across R&D, business technology and commercial workstreams, adapting your architecture to different problem spaces.
- Strong stakeholder-engagement and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions credibly to both engineering teams and senior client stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; Polish is an advantage.
- Client-first mentality
- Intense work ethic
- Collaborative spirit and problem-solving approach
