Conduct complex analysis, mining, and visualization of data sets comprised of transactional, sales, operations, and finance data to provide business insights, analyses, forecasts, decision tools, and optimization programs to enable Progressive Leasing to operate efficiently and compete effectively in the marketplace. Leverage strong technical skills and creative thinking to solve problems and make quantitative decisions. Capture, mine, and act on data related to our customers, our stores, and our operational and financial performance to drive business impact. Work with cutting edge tools and products at the intersection of technology and business to harness the potential of Big Data. Understand the technical architecture of data storage systems and extract and process raw data, turning it into usable information, and drawing insights with statistical confidence. Sort out randomness and noise from usable information and draw signals from complex interactions between variables. Leverage Microsoft SQL Server, Python, R, Spark, etc. to extract data stored in a data warehouse. Concisely communicate the results of analytical work through presentations and data visualizations. Build and run models to create analytically sound recommendations for reaching business objectives with senior management. Remote position anywhere in the United States.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Math, Data Analytics, Information Science, or closely related field. Six (6) months of experience with designing and building data visualizations and dashboards, summarizing data and performing statistical tests (Chi-Squared/T-tests) using Tableau, R, or Python; implementing analytical results into optimized production code environment, designing and implementing effective A/B tests, using data querying/extraction languages (SQL, etc.) to collate information, and crafting research and evaluation design approaches.
