The  Onboarding Technical Consultant II (OTC II) is a passionate, process-focused professional, competent in the entire suite of Toast Products. Their primary role on the OTC team is to oversee execution & administration of the internal escalation queue and aid the team in driving forward initiatives that improve our processes and the customer journey.

OTCs are expected to work semi-autonomously under a team manager, and must be able to self-manage and self-prioritise their workload and cases based on customer need and Toast requirements. 


About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Utilises  high end knowledge of: 
    • Toast networking standards and hardware setup 
    • Restaurant operations for single & multi-unit customers 
    • Troubleshooting and issue resolution
    • All POS modules
    • Configuration standards for integration partners
  • Supports implementations of the Toast POS System by overseeing a multi-channel community of peer-to-peer technical support and acting as a final escalation point.
  • Manages issues requiring Red Flag creation related to pre-live and go-live accounts
  • Using Root Cause Analysis techniques, locates trends & blockers in the pre-live to live customer journey and plays an active role in tech-based initiatives to address them
  • Assists with Onboarding process improvement initiatives 

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • 1-2 years experience in the POS or Tech industry preferred
  • High level understanding of POS networking, software and hardware configuration
  • Has great knowledge of restaurant operations for single & multi-unit customers 
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and strong organisation skills
  • Seeks out cross-functional relationships and builds rapport with peers
  • Ability to self-manage & self-prioritise multiple complex tasks at once

  • Good experience of G-Suite, Slack, and Salesforce
