The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer with a solid grasp of MERN/MEAN stack technologies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing innovative software solutions and will have the opportunity to grow their leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust software solutions in line with Oliver Wyman's strategic direction.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers, contributing to the mentoring of junior staff.
- Uphold high standards of code quality and participate in the establishment of best practices.
- Stay informed and share information about technological trends to enhance the team's capabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Portfolio of completed projects can be considered as the alternative to the formal education.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development with a focus on MERN/MEAN Stack technologies.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, Express.js, Angular, SQL and NoSQL DB’s.
- Experience with GitHub for version control and CI/CD.
- Good understanding of system design, Agile methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Camunda would be a plus.
Skills and Attributes:
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and provide guidance to and mentor junior engineers.
- Fluent English
- Effective communication skills to clearly convey technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.
- Capacity to take on supervisory responsibilities in project tasks and support team leads.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dedication to continuous improvement and learning.
