Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Nocturnist to join our growing team at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. This position is primarily based at the
Willowbrook campus and focuses on overnight, in-house coverage supporting Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics services.

Qualifications
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to manage high-acuity obstetric patients independently
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Prior experience as a nocturnist or hospital-based OB/GYN preferred
- Interest in resident education and supervision preferred (but not required)
Responsibilities
- Work 2 nights/week (no weekends)
- 15-hour shifts (5:00pm to 8:00am)
- Provide overnight, in-house OB/GYN coverage for Labor & Delivery, obstetric triage, and emergency gynecologic care
- Manage laboring patients, obstetric emergencies, and unassigned patients during night shifts
- Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as clinically indicated
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, anesthesia, neonatology, and daytime OB/GYN teams to ensure continuity of care
- Supervise and support OB/GYN residents during overnight shifts, as applicable
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives related to obstetric care
- Night shifts are structured and scheduled to support work-life balance; weekend and holiday coverage included per nocturnist schedule
