MAJOR DUTIES
- Responsibilities will include setting up of an Event Announcement, Election Management & Processing of Entitlements.
- Perform detailed analysis of all global Corporate Action event types, including but not limited to Mergers, Dividends, Exchanges, and Tenders to provide comprehensive insight to the internal and external partners.
- Proactively identify potential risks and opportunities associated with Corporate Actions to develop process improvements or in support of initiatives that benefit division/department strategy
- Responsible for ensuring all updates are incorporated into relevant Corporate Actions Procedures.
- Cross-functionally collaborate with internal partners across the enterprise to resolve escalations, inquiries, incidents and challenges as quickly as possible.
- Adherence to Standards & Procedures and the promotion of best practices.
- Maintain KPI’s, Volumes trend analysis and Error log for the process.
- Should be highly agile to assume various cross-functional roles and responsibilities in alignment with business demands
- Provides hands-on training for new staff and functional cross-training for experienced staff.
- Generates ideas for operational efficiency and assesses impact.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Deep knowledge of global market nuances related to Corporate Action processing, financial markets, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Voluntary corporate actions expertise in Tender offers, Rights issues, Optional Dividends, Currency options & Dividend re-investment
- Interpret event terms and options, assess risk, and manage exceptions/discrepancies with strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives) and trade/custody/clearing impacts
- Regulatory/compliance awareness and deadline management in global markets
- SWIFT corporate actions messaging/data flows (e.g., MT564/MT565/MT567)
- Stakeholder communication with clients, custodians, and internal teams
- Preferred background in operating industry recognized platforms, such as Aladdin and Eagle
EXPERIENCE
- 24 months as Associate Consultant
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting/Finance, Master degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 6 Years of Experience in handling Global Corporate Actions activities.
- Experienced in managing all aspects of the corporate actions lifecycle, including announcement capture, processing, client notification, elections and settlement
- Extensive, demonstrable experience as a Subject Matter Expert in Global Corporate Actions
