Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the technology transfer of advanced semiconductor metrology systems from R&D to Manufacturing (MFG).
  • Support the development, industrialization, and manufacturability of complex multidisciplinary systems used in semiconductor metrology applications.
  • Lead and manage manufacturing readiness activities, including build processes, production fixtures, test plans, work instructions, and training programs.
  • Troubleshoot system and subsystem issues, perform root-cause analysis, and validate system performance, including optical alignment and calibration activities.
  • Collaborate closely with System, Optics, Mechanical Engineering, and Software R&D teams to optimize product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback and recommendations to product development teams.
  • Drive prototype builds, process improvements, and manufacturing optimization initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support vendor and customer activities as needed, including up to 20% international travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or New Product Introduction (NPI) environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD design tools such as CREO or SolidWorks.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, additive manufacturing (3D printing), and surface coatings.
  • Proven experience in prototype assembly, testing, and design validation.
  • Hands-on experience with precision and high-accuracy mechanical assemblies and mechanisms.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary systems involving mechanical, optical, vacuum systems.
  • Semiconductor industry experience is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of vacuum systems is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and project management capabilities.
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
