Job Description

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of Novotel Devonport, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving business performance. As General Manager, you will be a key ambassador for the Novotel brand, combining your deep passion for hospitality with strong operational and commercial expertise. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic leader to make an impact in a thriving regional destination, steering a talented team of Heartists toward continued success. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of passionate Heartists to drive individual growth and foster a collaborative culture of excellence. 
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive revenue, enhance operational efficiency, and elevate the overall guest experience. 
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring all departments meet and exceed operational targets. 
  • Lead sales and marketing efforts to maximise occupancy and revenue, while continuously identifying new growth opportunities. 
  • Champion employee engagement by creating a supportive and inclusive environment where all Heartists thrive. 

Qualifications

A qualification in hotel management, hospitality, business administration, or a related field would be highly regarded. 

About You 

  • Over 5 years of senior leadership experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on operations, revenue generation, and team leadership. 
  • Proven ability to drive commercial success, with strong business acumen in areas like revenue management, budgeting, and profitability. 
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder environments, including relationships with external partners and local communities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and coach teams, creating a motivating environment that enhances employee engagement. 
  • A strategic, entrepreneurial mindset, combined with a strong commitment to the values and culture of Accor. 
  • Full Australian working rights.
