Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and quarterly closing processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, analytical review, and related controls.
- Design and implement internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring SOX compliance, adherence to accounting policies, and driving process simplification initiatives.
- Monitor financial risks and perform detailed balance sheet analysis; collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and timely resolution of audit findings.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, GEHC policies, and local statutory requirements.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key financial processes to drive consistency, efficiency, and control effectiveness.
- Support business and operational teams in understanding financial impacts.
- Participate and drive key controllership initiatives, including process simplification, ERP/system implementations, and integration projects, ensuring alignment with controllership standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with experience in accounting and finance.
- Familiarity with US GAAP/IFRS and Egyptian tax legislation.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and controllership practices.
- Experience working in a global business environment, with a strong understanding of end-to-end processes and transactional flows.
- Proven ability to operate in a matrix organization.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Calm, structured, and analytical approach to problem-solving.
