Job Description
Development is the largest discipline at Endava. Our developers design, build, and release software products in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and libraries. Always collaborating with cross-functional project teams, our developers are adaptable problem-solvers with a client-oriented mindset.
The NodeJS backend engineer position involves joining one of several well-organized scrum teams working on a microservice-based cloud solution for audio and video devices. This solution is designed to help enterprise administrators manage devices at scale through centralized device management, providing real-time status and health views to troubleshoot problems before they escalate. The role requires contributing to both the maintenance of existing functionalities and the development of new features. A sense of ownership and proactivity is highly valued.
This is a hybrid (remote/office) position. Mostly, there is no frequent need to exchange the equipment and hard dependency on office space, but the account team is coming once per week to make sure that social part is not being missed.
Qualifications
Key requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in NodeJS backend development, ideally in TypeScript
- Experience with MongoDB or SQL databases
- Experience with messaging brokers/platforms, ideally RabbitMQ
- Basic knowledge of Docker
In addition to the essentials, it would be great if you have:
- Experience with Redis
- Java and Spring development experience
- Experience with frontend development, ideally React
