AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking Systems Support Specialist II personnel to support the NISSC 3 program at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. These positions deliver technical and operational support for multiple mission systems by providing onsite and oncall coverage for system administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support in a TS/SCI environment. The Systems Support Specialists will help ensure system availability, data integrity, and highquality process and incident documentation.
Responsibilities- Provide onsite and on call system administration and operational support for multiple mission systems at Offutt AFB.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system performance issues affecting mission operations.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including applying patches, updates, configuration changes, and performance tuning.
- Provide responsive user support and training for system access, basic operations, and issue resolution.
- Collect, maintain, and update operational logs, incident and deficiency reports, and checklists in accordance with program and security standards.
- Perform incident response, including initial triage, escalation, coordination with highertier support, and closure documentation.
- Execute backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity, availability, and continuity of operations.
- Support system administration and basic database support tasks as needed to maintain operational environments.
- Oversee procedural compliance and ensure all records, logs, and reports meet required operational, security, and audit standards.
- Act as a technical resource for performance optimization, data integrity, role continuity, and support of management status reporting.

- 4–6 years of relevant experience in systems or network administration, systems support, or similar technical roles in secure, mission critical (DoW or similar) environments.
- Expertise in system administration and troubleshooting for multiple mission systems.
- Strong skills in preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system availability and operational readiness.
- Experience providing responsive user support and training.
- Proficiency in managing process documentation, incident response, and operational logs to maintain data integrity.
- Ability to act as a technical resource for performance optimization and to oversee compliance with procedural and documentation standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field,
- OR Equivalent DoW/Military training in systems administration, network operations, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum: Active TS/SCI clearance required to start.
- Holds a DoW 8140 qualifying certification; one or more of the following (or equivalent) is required/preferred: Cloud+ / GSEC / Security+ / SSCP

Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $82,100.00/Yr. - USD $137,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Skills Required
