As a Cost Program Manager for SPMO in F6, the individual is responsible for setting the site cost budget, reporting to variance in budget and identifying cost savings IPP goals. The program manager will manage a team that monitors materials forecasting, area cost management and global program management rollouts. The individual is also the main contact between Facilities, ISM and Procurement
Program Manager Roles and Responsibilities
- Understands thoroughly the business plan and defines the program roadmap with sponsor based on it
- Manages program metrics and goals to support business plan
- Drives program progress on schedule to achieve goals
- Identifies and mitigates risks and issue and escalate to sponsors as appropriate
- Utilizes PDCA closed loop management review to continually improve program effectiveness and efficiency
- Report program status, wins, issues, and actions to program sponsor for broadcasting to site leadership team and stakeholders
- Understands benchmarking landscape within Micron and outside, identify opportunities and drive improvements
- Drive network BKM sharing through network peers and PAC managers using globally aligned sharing platform
- Drive implementation of global projects at local site
Program and Metric Management
- Understand business plan and how it ties to strategic objectives
- Define program roadmap with sponsors based on business plan
- Define and manage program metrics and goals to support business plan
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date charter for the program
- Ensure appropriate stakeholders, and deliverables and schedule
- Drive program progress on schedule
- Identify and mitigate risks and issue and escalate to sponsors when appropriate
- Utilizes PDCA closed loop and management review to continually improve the program effectiveness and efficiency
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain
- Proven track record to work cross-functionally and across organizations
- Demonstrated ability to work with Senior Management and translate ambiguity into action
- Detail oriented with ability to see the big picture
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills and a great teammate attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in storage, memory or tech-related field with experience in consumer products
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes
