About this opportunity:
Join Ericsson's Networks Domain Services Sales Support team, supporting Ericsson Customer Units across Market Area North America. The team works as services business development consultants, helping translate customer needs into compelling services opportunities and commercially sound proposals. As an Intern, you will gain experience in services business development, customer requirements analysis, delivery scoping, commercial analysis, pricing support, RFx and proposal development, and collaboration across sales, services delivery, solution architecture, and customer-facing teams.
Previous services sales experience is not required. We are looking for a motivated student with strong analytical and communication skills, an interest in telecommunications and technology services, and a willingness to learn how complex services are shaped, positioned, and delivered.
What you will do:
- Support RFx responses, tenders, proposals, presentations, customer consultations, workshops, and other services sales activities.
- Review customer requirements and help identify suitable Ericsson services, delivery approaches, and solution components.
- Support the scoping of cognitive network services and network deployment offerings by defining activities, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, resources, timelines, and risks.
- Collaborate with services delivery and solution architecture teams to improve the clarity, completeness, and feasibility of proposed work efforts.
- Support commercial analysis by reviewing cost and pricing inputs, comparing scenarios, evaluating assumptions, and preparing recommendations.
- Help develop statements of work, service descriptions, effort estimates, pricing models, business cases, value propositions, and other proposal content.
- Research telecommunications services, network deployment practices, cognitive network capabilities, industry trends, customer priorities, and competitive offerings.
- Organize and analyze technical, operational, and commercial information to support customer solutions, business cases, and opportunity readiness.
- Create clear customer-facing materials, including scope summaries, presentations, diagrams, tables, and proposal responses.
- Document findings, decisions, action items, risks, and open questions while collaborating with sales, finance, legal, commercial management, Customer Solution Responsible teams, and other Ericsson stakeholders.
The skills you bring:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's program in business, engineering, computer science, telecommunications, information technology, economics, finance, operations, project management, or a related field.
- Interest in telecommunications, technology services, network deployment, digital transformation, business development, or related areas.
- Strong analytical, research, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand technical, operational, and commercial information and communicate it clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales, services delivery, solution, commercial, finance, and customer-facing teams.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, services, and processes.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and follow through on commitments.
- Professional curiosity and a willingness to ask questions, seek clarification, and understand the rationale behind recommendations.
- Must have at least a 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Actively enrolled on a full-time basis at an accredited 4-year college or university at the time of the internship
