Job Details
Network Engineer support the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, with a focus on firewalls, routing, switching, and load balancing. In this role, you will manage LAN/WAN environments, troubleshoot complex network issues, and perform upgrades, patches, and configuration improvements to ensure secure and reliable operations. Strong knowledge of MPLS, VRF, VPN, and routing is required, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and contribute to multiple cross-functional projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform or coordinatee Level 3/4 incident, problem and request assessment and resolution and fulfillment on network infrastructure solutions
- Identify root cause of incidents and problems and making appropriate recommendation to avoid future failure
- Participate in technical service offering teams planning and running efforts with stakeholders and IT groups for our network infrastructure
- Evaluate technical requirements to determine the impact to infrastructure/applications including equipment redundancy and capacity requirements
- Contribute to standard operational procedures documentation as needed for all network technologies
- Being proactive to anticipate issues or situations which impact service quality
- Strictly following Move to Production process including checking that tools and documentation are up to date
- Ensure all support documentation knowledge transfer to production support
- Establish requirements, methods and procedures for routine maintenance
- Recommend and/or implements changes/enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability, and performance
- Co-create technical automations and processes improvements for continuous service improvement
- Define and ensure continuous monitoring procedures are set according to the standard procedures and requirements
- Work with other IT teams of network engineers in performing vulnerability and fault analysis on enterprise perimeter devices and developing and implementing system remediation and recovery plans
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
Work Experience:
- 8+ years of relevant IT work experience
- Proven expertise in managing core and edge network products such as Palo Alto, Citrix NetScaler, Aruba, Velocloud, and Cisco ACI
- Good knowledge of general data center technology
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of a broad range of hardware and software products
- Experience with general IT concepts beyond their primary discipline
- Good understanding of ITSM
- InfoBlox DNS/DHCP management experience
Skills and Knowledge:
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills; effective team player
- Good analytical skills with attention to details
- Ansible or other configuration management tool experience
- Experience in using modern logging and observability tools (Elastic, New Relic and others)
- Coding/scripting experience using Python
