Job Summary
The Network Engineer will work closely with senior members of the team to maintain the integrity of Vistra's OT network for GCS, following NERC CIP guidelines. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting GCS network systems for real-time systems.Job Description
Key Accountabilities
•Provide technical support to clients and internal teams
•provide support for setting up IPSec tunnels necessary to integrate new resources as Vistra portfolio grows
•Upkeeping of systems security per regulatory compliance obligations
•Be on-call on rotation schedule for 24x7 support of GCS network
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
Good Experience in Managing a fleet of firewalls through Panorama including the below features
- Centrally manage policies
- Upgrade and patch management from Panorama
- Monitor and troubleshoot from Panorama
- Good knowledge of LSVPN including running OSPF over LSVPN
- Setting up B2B VPN tunnels with third parties
Good knowledge of IP Address management (IPAM), Active Directory and DNS

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering or related field
- Familiarity with NERC CIP regulatory requirements for OT networks
- Hands-on experience with network equipment from Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Arista
- Experience managing firewall fleets via Panorama (policy management, upgrades/patching, monitoring/troubleshooting)
- Experience configuring IPSec and B2B VPN tunnels and LSVPN including running OSPF over LSVPN
- Knowledge of IP Address Management (IPAM), Active Directory, and DNS
- Familiarity with TACACS, Splunk, TripWire, network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Ability to interface with terminal servers and RTUs
- Willingness/ability to be on-call on a rotation schedule for 24x7 support
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
