About the Opportunity
Ericsson develops software-driven network solutions using Agile ways of working, Lean principles, Continuous Integration and modern automation. Customer and stakeholder feedback helps shape how our software, services and network capabilities evolve.
Join a cross-functional team supporting Ericsson's global test labs. The team is developing a new network blueprint spanning purpose-built and cloud solutions, helping testers access secure remote test capabilities.
AI-assisted development and large language models are part of our approach to productivity, software quality, innovation and continuous learning. You'll work with experienced engineers and architects, who can help you build network-domain knowledge as you contribute.
What you will do
• Maintain and improve the existing zero-touch provisioning framework as technologies and features evolve. • Automate secure network deployment across test labs, including site-specific switch properties and security settings. • Configure end-to-end test capabilities so testers can access the appropriate payloads, configurations and security. • Develop, test and maintain automation solutions, integrations and validation processes; troubleshoot issues and improve reliability. • Work with engineers, architects and stakeholders to turn requirements into practical, maintainable solutions. • Use AI-assisted development and LLM tools for analysis, coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation and knowledge sharing; check their outputs for quality and accuracy. • Contribute to continuous improvement, refactoring and innovation across the team.
Skills you bring
• A completed degree in computer science, software engineering, electronics or a related field. • Foundational development skills in Python, Go, C++ or a similar language, along with an understanding of software-development principles, secure development and revision control. • Experience with Git or GitLab is valuable; familiarity with Continuous Integration and automated testing is an advantage. • Curiosity, adaptability and a collaborative approach to solving technical challenges. • Interest in networking, automation and applying new technologies. Deep telecom-network expertise is not required. • Relevant experience is valued; around one to two years is a useful guide, not a strict requirement. Hands-on projects that demonstrate delivery are also valuable.
Experience or knowledge in one or more of these areas is a plus: GitLab Runner, Jenkins/Groovy, Linux, containers, TCP/IP, network-management systems, infrastructure-automation frameworks such as Nautobot, and cloud-native development.
