NetSuite Technical Consultant – SOX Compliance & Enterprise Applications

Work Arrangement / Work Shift: Remote | Full-Time / Part-Time

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Technical Consultant to support and enhance our NetSuite ecosystem for a US publicly traded company. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in NetSuite development, SOX-compliant system controls, workflow automation, approval processes, integrations, and enterprise application support. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable NetSuite solutions while adhering to coding standards, audit requirements, and change management processes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 2.x.

• Develop User Events, Client Scripts, Scheduled Scripts, Map/Reduce Scripts, RESTlets, and Suitelets.

• Build and maintain custom records, forms, fields, saved searches, and dashboards.

• Follow established coding standards, peer review processes, and documentation requirements.

• Design and implement SOX-compliant workflows, validations, and approval processes.

• Support ITGC, application controls, and audit requirements.

• Maintain proper segregation of duties and change management documentation.

• Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors during SOX reviews.

• Design and implement workflow-based approval processes.

• Configure system validations and exception controls.

• Automate business processes while maintaining auditability and compliance.

• Support integrations between NetSuite and external systems including Coupa, banking platforms, payroll systems, CRM applications, and middleware solutions.

• Troubleshoot API, REST, SOAP, and integration issues.

• Support data synchronization and reconciliation processes.

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for NetSuite and integrated applications.

• Troubleshoot performance issues and system defects.

• Participate in release management and production deployments.
  

What You’ll Need:

• 8+ years of NetSuite technical development experience.

• Strong SuiteScript 2.x development expertise.

• Experience implementing SOX-compliant workflows, validations, and approval processes.

• Experience supporting a US public company environment.

• Strong understanding of NetSuite security and role-based access controls.

• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations.

• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and change management controls.

What Will Set You Apart:

• Experience supporting Coupa integrations.

• SuiteCloud Developer Certification.

• Experience with Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft, or other integration platforms.

• Experience with financial systems and accounting processes.
