We operate across 26 countries in Europe and are supported by a dedicated Centre of Excellence in Mauritius. We are looking for a .NET Engineering Lead to join our growing HRnet team and help shape engineering excellence across our product development organisation.

Your Role

As a .NET Engineering Lead, you will work closely with developers, business analysts, and engineering stakeholders to enhance existing HRnet functionalities and drive the delivery of new solutions. You will play a key role in strengthening engineering practices, promoting technical excellence, and supporting the growth of engineering capability across SD Worx Adriatics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen engineering capability across the tribe through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing initiatives

  • Embed high-quality engineering standards consistently across squads

  • Guide the chapter in delivering high-quality, maintainable, and secure software solutions

  • Act as a key interface between the chapter and the Engineering CoE, ensuring organisational engineering standards are both actionable in practice and informed by delivery realities

  • Monitor and improve engineering quality, technical health, and delivery performance using engineering and flow metrics

  • Evaluate, adopt, and evolve modern technologies, frameworks, and tools to support sustainable engineering practices

  • Drive the adoption of AI-augmented engineering to enhance productivity and impact

  • Ensure consistency in design, development, testing, observability, and maintainability across the chapter

  • Provide visibility into engineering health, risks, and maturity, enabling informed decision-making

  • Promote continuous improvement, technical excellence, and knowledge-sharing through reviews, tech talks, and communities of practice

  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top engineering talent

  • Coach and develop engineers through regular feedback, structured development, and capability uplift

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong expertise in software engineering practices, including coding, testing, and automation

  • Proven experience developing and delivering enterprise applications using .NET technologies

  • Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring engineers within a software development environment

  • Experience managing people within an engineering or software development environment would be beneficial. Candidates with experience in a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, mentoring, or coaching capacity are also encouraged to apply

  • Proven ability to embed security, performance, and quality practices into day-to-day engineering activities and long-term technical decision-making

  • Experience working with a broad range of tools and frameworks, enabling the evaluation, adoption, and evolution of technology choices that support effective engineering delivery

  • Solid experience with flow, continuous improvement, and outcome-driven development

  • Ability to stay ahead of technology trends by continuously exploring new capabilities, practices, and technologies, including AI-augmented approaches

  • A solution-oriented mindset focused on removing obstacles, supporting teams, and enabling engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes

  • Ability to explain complex technical and functional trade-offs clearly and influence decision-making across teams and stakeholders

  • Experience working within HR, Payroll, or other enterprise software environments would be an advantage

  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools and engineering practices would be beneficial
