2020 Companies is now interviewing for a remote National Operations Manager!

The National Operations Manager is a key leader tasked with driving results for our client in the financial sector. This position interfaces directly with our client while managing a team of Operations Coordinators who provide internal operational support to a nationwide field team. In partnership with additional internal teams, you will own the day-to-day logistics of operational support to a nationwide field sales team, QC/audit support of that team, and regular report generation and analysis. This position requires a detail-oriented, operationally-sound individual, who serves under the direction of the Vice President.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for oversight of key operational functions supporting a nationwide field sales team.
  • Serve as a liaison between the field execution, client services, operations, training, and IS to assist in problem resolution, analysis, resourcing, team building, etc.
  • Drive continuous operational process improvement to ensure best-in-class operational systems and processes to meet/exceed client requirements and expectations and overall operational well-being
  • Oversee inventory levels of field execution resources, providing monthly and ad-hoc reporting, and make recommendations for restocking as appropriate
  • Distribute scheduled and ad-hoc reporting to Client and Executive Leadership within specified time frames
  • Provide direct supervision to a team of client-dedicated Operations Coordinators, located across multiple time zones, who are responsible for performance auditing, inventory management, new-hire setup, and related reporting
  • Collaborates heavily with other senior leaders to identify needs for targeted performance auditing, and leads the operations team through the execution of these requests
  • Works closely with both internal and external stakeholders to continually identify areas of opportunity for improvement, and develop/execute actionable plans to drive results
  • Effectively coach/mentor team members and ensure proper training in management techniques, products, policies, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
  • Administer and document all counseling and terminations accurately and in a timely manner, while following established procedures
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Performance Measurements:

  • Meet established weekly/monthly productivity goals/quota
  • Maintain proper headcount in all areas
  • Ensure reporting compliance, timeliness and accuracy
  • Ensure execution of all client-specific initiatives, meeting requirements and deadline

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Business degree preferred
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in Retail Merchandising, Retail Operations, or Organizational effectiveness
  • Extensive retail and/or direct sales management experience required
  • Experience working with/managing remote field teams preferred
  • Exercise operational excellence and a high-level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to create reporting and analyze data via advanced Excel functions, including v-look-ups and pivot tables, to interpret performance trends and make recommendations to leadership/client
  • Superior leadership abilities with effective, professional communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to show good judgment and initiative, make decisions and problem-solve
  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, project management experience, and prioritization of tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with other team members and the client
  • Excellent judgment and issue-resolution skills, and the ability to balance multiple demands and changing priorities
  • Ability to anticipate needs and make strategic recommendations to both client and fellow leadership team members
  • Ability to collaboratively partner with multiple internal and external stakeholders on complex projects to accomplish goals
  • Ability to prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders at any given time
  • Ability to manage a remote team spread across multiple time zones
  • Capable to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work remotely, with flexibility for occasional travel (up to 6 times per year) for client/leadership meetings
