About the role .
As Assistant Category Manager - Out of Home, you'll turn data into insights and insights into action. Supporting our Foodservice and QSR Commercial team, you'll help develop category strategies that grow market share, drive consumption, and deliver profitable growth. Working across sales, shopper, customer and market data, you'll create meaningful recommendations and commercial tools that influence business decisions.

What you'll be doing.
  • Analyse internal sales, syndicated market and shopper data to track category, channel and customer performance.
  • Build and maintain reports, scorecards and dashboards that measure category KPIs and identify trends, risks and growth opportunities.
  • Support the category and channel strategic roadmap, including channel mapping, prioritisation and size-of-prize analysis.
  • Measure activation effectiveness across priority customers and channels, and recommend adjustments based on results.
  • Synthesise research and customer insights into actionable category propositions, activation plans and selling stories.
  • Contribute to annual brand and category planning in partnership with Marketing and Sales to maximise core-range performance.
  • Support portfolio and mix reviews, market sizing, gap analysis, innovation and new product development opportunities.
  • Monitor executional standards, including range, menu presence and in-outlet execution, and work with Sales to address gaps.
  • Maintain category tools, templates, training materials and data integrity across reporting platforms.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Demand Planning and Insights on aligned plans, forecasting inputs and ad hoc projects.

What you'll need to be successful.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of the FMCG industry and route-to-market processes; foodservice industry experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex data, identify commercial implications and make clear recommendations.
  • Strong reporting capability, attention to detail and confidence working with dashboards, scorecards and multiple data sources.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate insights for varied audiences.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to execute commercial plans and monitor performance against agreed targets.
  • Experience using customer relationship management systems, with the ability to learn new systems and digital tools quickly.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with sound judgement on data quality, reporting and timeline issues.

About the team .
You will join the Foodservice/QSR Commercial team and report to the Category Manager Foodservice/QSR ANZ, within the broader Category and Customer Insights function. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Demand Planning and Insights colleagues, providing the analysis, tools and recommendations that help the wider commercial team make informed decisions and execute category plans.
