About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Salesforce is looking for a driven, quota-carrying Account Executive to own and grow both B2C and B2B Commerce Cloud business across India, across a defined set of enterprise and mid-market accounts in India. This is a strategic, cross-industry sales role responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business while expanding Commerce Cloud footprint within existing customers.
The role sits within the broader Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Data Cloud portfolio for the India market and works closely with the Regional Vice President of Sales and cross-functional teams to deliver revenue growth and customer value. This is a specialist co-prime role — the Commerce Cloud AE works alongside core Account Executives, owning the Commerce Cloud thread within accounts rather than managing the full account relationship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the end-to-end sales cycle for Salesforce Commerce Cloud — prospecting, qualification, solutioning, negotiation, and closing — across assigned named accounts and territory.
• Build and manage a healthy, accurate pipeline against quarterly and annual quota targets; forecast reliably to the RVP.
• Develop and execute account and territory plans across industry verticals such as FMCG, e-commerce, Retail, Hospitality, Jewellery, and Manufacturing, Auto and Public Sector.
• Identify whitespace within existing customers and drive cross-sell/upsell of Commerce Cloud alongside Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud where relevant.
• Engage and influence senior stakeholders — CXOs, VPs of Digital/E-commerce, Marketing and IT leaders — to position Commerce Cloud as a strategic digital commerce platform.
• Partner with Solution Engineering, Value Management, and Customer Success teams to build compelling business cases and ROI-driven proposals.
• Collaborate with the broader Salesforce ecosystem — Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and platform account teams and Salesforce partners/SIs — to build multi-cloud opportunities.
• Stay current on digital commerce trends, competitive landscape, and customer buying behavior to sharpen positioning and win strategy.
• Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene and reporting discipline in Salesforce CRM.
• Represent Salesforce at customer meetings, industry events, and executive briefings as required.
Required Experience & Skills:
• 8–14 years of B2B enterprise software/SaaS sales experience, with a demonstrated track record of carrying and consistently exceeding quota.
• Prior experience selling e-commerce, digital commerce, CMS, CRM, or MarTech platforms strongly preferred (e.g., Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce/Magento, SAP Commerce/Hybris, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, or similar).
• Proven ability to sell to and influence senior/CXO-level stakeholders in complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals.
• Strong consultative and value-based selling skills — able to translate business problems into digital commerce solutions.
• Experience managing complex sales cycles involving RFPs, competitive displacement, and multi-product deals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
• Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem (Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Sales/Service Cloud) is an advantage.
• Experience across the target industry verticals (FMCG, e-commerce, retail, hospitality, jewellery, manufacturing) is a strong plus.
