PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Include but not limited to:)

• Plan, design and produce artwork for a variety of print and web designs across diverse projects including the creation of brochures, e-newsletters, websites, leaflets, newsletters, advertising, invitations, banners signage posters and other associated collateral
• Ensure that the style and character of the Wyndham corporate brand is maintained and promoted in all projects as consistent with the companies style guide
• Provide advise on the most efficient and effective means of visual communication whilst not compromising excellence in design
• Interact with clients in a polite and friendly manner
• Anticipate clients needs and work proactively to meet and exceed expectations
• Communicate effectively with studio team members, providing solutions to problems and keeping them informed of progress or delays
• Respect co-workers and managers and develop appropriate relationships with team members and clients
• Behave in a professional manner and actively participate as a team member to achieve company and departmental goals
• Achieve attendance standards and be punctual after breaks and at start times
• Adapt to changes and develop new ideas for improving methods of operation (where appropriate)
• Promote a clean and secure working environment
• Be familiar with and adhere to company occupational health and safety policies and procedures
• Work and behave in a way that does not endanger yourself or others in the workplace
• Report any unsafe practices, incidents or accidents to your supervisor immediately

KEY POSITION CRITERIA:

• Video creation and editing including Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects
• Demonstrated ability to operate graphic design packages, (Adobe Creative Suite) an understanding of print and web processes to ensure the smooth transition of files to printed documents and online formats, although this will be secondary to video and multimedia tasks.
• A mimimum of 5-7 years experience working within a design studio with a strong creative flair and work ethic.
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to respond positively to guidance, liaise effectively with other staff, clients and service providers
• Demonstrated ability to understand and respond to design briefs and concepts with ideas and options, and to effectively manage projects that meet client objectives, time, budget and quality requirements
• Demonstrated ability to actively participate in, and effectively contribute to, a team environment that values employment equity, ethical behaviour and safety, as well as the ability to work autonomously and manage competing deadlines
• Experience in managing a small team of designers
• Direct client contact experience necessary
