Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for multimedia and bringing ideas to life? Join our Learning & Development team on 6-month contract as a Multimedia Content Creator in Stellenbosch and play a key role in designing and delivering engaging learning content across our national Herotel footprint. 

The key purpose of this role is to create high-quality multimedia learning programmes that support employee training, onboarding, and development through videography, design, and storytelling, while collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

What you’ll do:

  • Follow all SOPs while maintaining accurate project documentation and ensuring content aligns with learning objectives and brand standards
  • Work closely with the Learning & Development team, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to deliver engaging multimedia content
  • Plan, film, and edit high-quality video content for training, internal communications, and e-learning initiatives
  • Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to capture professional footage in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Edit and enhance videos using tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro, incorporating motion graphics, transitions, subtitles, and branding elements
  • Design visual assets including infographics, animations, slide decks, thumbnails, and digital illustrations using tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
  • Use AI tools to optimise content creation processes and improve quality and efficiency
  • Create and interpret shot lists, and develop production plans aligned to learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex technical concepts into engaging, accessible content
  • Participate in creative planning sessions to develop innovative learning experiences
  • Ensure all content is inclusive, accessible, and optimised for various platforms (e.g. LMS, mobile, intranet)
  • Travel to operational sites, regional offices, and field locations to capture authentic, real-world content
  • Adapt to dynamic environments, managing shoots in diverse settings such as telecom towers, offices, and contact centres
  • Manage portable production equipment and maintain a mobile-ready setup for on-location shoots
  • Deliver a variety of outputs including training videos, animated explainers, visual learning assets, infographics, and interactive multimedia presentations

What you’ll need:

  • Diploma or degree in Multimedia Design (videography, editing, graphic design)
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in videography, editing, and design within a dynamic environment
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating multimedia content creation (required upon application)
  • Experience in a learning and development or educational environment (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) or similar tools
  • Experience with video editing software such as Camtasia and Final Cut Pro
  • Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, and visual storytelling
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) advantageous
  • Proven experience integrating AI tools into content creation workflows
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles
  • Excellent visual communication and branding skills
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Effective time management with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Comfortable working outdoors and travelling regularly
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Positive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to work
