eBay is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack) with 8–10 years of professional experience to join our team. This role requires a strong technical leader with proven expertise in architecting backend services and delivering scalable front-end applications. You will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing systems that support eBay’s global platform, ensuring performance, reliability, and security at scale.

• Architecture & Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and front-end applications that power eBay’s next-generation systems.
   

• System Design: Drive architectural decisions, ensuring system scalability, security, and fault tolerance.
   

• Full-Stack Ownership: Work across the stack—developing RESTful APIs, microservices, databases, and intuitive front-end interfaces.
   

• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
   

• Best Practices: Champion coding standards, secure development practices, and CI/CD automation.
   

• Mentorship: Guide junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
   

• Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends, modern frameworks, and emerging technologies to continually improve eBay’s engineering practices.
   

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
   

Experience

• 8–10 years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in full-stack development.
   

• Proven track record of architecting backend services and designing high-performance systems.
   

Technical Skills

• Backend: Expertise in Node.js, Java, or similar backend frameworks. Strong experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and OpenAPI Specification for API design and documentation.
   

• Frontend: Proficiency with React.js (or similar modern frameworks) and strong UI/UX sensibilities.
   

• Identity & Access Management: Hands-on experience with SCIM, OIDC, and OAuth2 for authentication, authorization, and identity federation.
   

• Databases: Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
   

• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure or Private cloud  as well as containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
   

• Security & Performance: Strong grasp of secure coding practices, scalability, and performance optimization.
   

• Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.

• Problem-solver with a hands-on, ownership-driven mindset.
