What does the job look like?

The Mobile QA Engineer will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify test patterns and develop the testing plan.
  • Write and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable test cases.
  • Conduct peer reviews of test plans to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Execute test procedures and/ or scripts either manually or by automated tools.
  • Regularly update and maintain test documentation to keep it up to date with changes in the application.
  • Work closely with developers, manual and automation testers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Identify risks related to testing and implement mitigation strategies to ensure test reliability.
  • Keep abreast of current testing methodologies while working autonomously to update tools, skills, and techniques.

What will you need to be able to do the job?

  • Minimum 2 years of previous work experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Hands on experience testing native mobile applications for both Android and iOS.
  • Familiar with adb, Android Studio, Xcode.
  • Knowledge of Software QA Methodologies.
  • Experience in defining acceptance criteria.
  • Excellent command of English language.
  • Computer Science or other relevant College or University Degree.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Knowledge of test management software (i.e. TestRail, Zephyr) and tracking tools like JIRA/Confluence.
  • Excellent team play skills and positive can-do attitude.
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
  • Good analytical and planning skills.
  • An ability to work with short deadlines and under pressure.

It will be considered as a plus if you have:

  • Experience with Test Automation Software (Cucumber, Selenium).
  • Mobile Automation using Appium or similar tools.
  • Experience with setting up device farms for mobile testing.
  • Previous experience within FX Industry on a similar IT field or an ISTQB certificate.
