What does the job look like?
The Mobile QA Engineer will have the opportunity to:
- Identify test patterns and develop the testing plan.
- Write and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable test cases.
- Conduct peer reviews of test plans to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
- Execute test procedures and/ or scripts either manually or by automated tools.
- Regularly update and maintain test documentation to keep it up to date with changes in the application.
- Work closely with developers, manual and automation testers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Identify risks related to testing and implement mitigation strategies to ensure test reliability.
- Keep abreast of current testing methodologies while working autonomously to update tools, skills, and techniques.
What will you need to be able to do the job?
- Minimum 2 years of previous work experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Hands on experience testing native mobile applications for both Android and iOS.
- Familiar with adb, Android Studio, Xcode.
- Knowledge of Software QA Methodologies.
- Experience in defining acceptance criteria.
- Excellent command of English language.
- Computer Science or other relevant College or University Degree.
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Knowledge of test management software (i.e. TestRail, Zephyr) and tracking tools like JIRA/Confluence.
- Excellent team play skills and positive can-do attitude.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Good analytical and planning skills.
- An ability to work with short deadlines and under pressure.
It will be considered as a plus if you have:
- Experience with Test Automation Software (Cucumber, Selenium).
- Mobile Automation using Appium or similar tools.
- Experience with setting up device farms for mobile testing.
- Previous experience within FX Industry on a similar IT field or an ISTQB certificate.
