A Senior Data Engineer is a critical member of this team, specializing in designing, building, and maintaining systems and infrastructure that enable efficient processing, collection, storage, and analysis of large volumes of data. This role collaborates closely with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure clean, accurate, and readily available data for informed decision-making and operational optimization. We are looking for a Data Engineer who has good experience in dbt for this specific role.
What You'll Do:

• Build, orchestrate and optimize data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the organization's data warehouse or data lake.
• Integrate data from diverse sources such as databases, APIs, streaming platforms, and file systems into cohesive data pipelines.
• Build and maintain SQL-based data transformation models using dbt, turning raw warehouse data into trusted, analytics-ready datasets
• Design and deliver well-structured data models (e.g. staging layers, intermediate models, and marts) that support reporting, analytics, and downstream use cases
• Implement data quality checks, tests, and documentation in dbt to ensure consistency, reliability, and trust in data
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable dbt transformations
• Contribute to version-controlled, production-grade data pipelines, following software-engineering best practices (code reviews, CI/CD, documentation)
• Develop and maintain high-performance data pipelines that seamlessly integrate data from various sources into data warehouses, data lakes, and other storage solutions.
• Optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficiency, reliability, and data quality.
• Write production-ready, testable code that adheres to engineering best practices and accounts for edge cases and error handling

What You'll Bring:

• A relevant Bachelors or higher-education degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
• 1-3 years of experience in a data engineering role, with a focus on building scalable, reliable, and high-performance data systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Extensive experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Expertise in data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi).
• Hands-on experience using dbt (Data Build Tool) to build and manage data transformations in a modern data warehouse
• Strong SQL skills, with experience modelling, joining, aggregating, and transforming large datasets
• Experience working in a cloud data warehouse environment (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks)
• Certifications in data engineering (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Engineer) are a plus.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing data pipelines, data storage solutions, and data processing workflows.
• Hands-on experience with distributed computing frameworks and cloud-based data services.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical solutions effectively
• Strong communications skills.
• Fluency in English
